Objectives:
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Maintain quality and safety standards. Keep records and maintain equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all functions of Precision Machinist I CNC.
- Must have knowledge of Multi Axis tool setups.
- Understand G & M codes.
- Ability to inspect parts and enter tool offset into machine controller as required & make off-sets on own.
- Perform manufacturing activities of medical device components in the CNC department.
- Ensure equipment in the department has been properly maintained and/or calibrated prior to use.
- Assists in the establishment and update of quality system documentation relevant to the CNC department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work Monday - Thursday 3:15PM-1:45am, with overtime as needed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Some form of related Tech School education desired
- Swiss programming experience a plus
- Basic blue print reading and interpretation
- Exceptional attendance
- Must be able to work in a high-volume area
- Team Player
- Candidate must be able to multi-task, including running two or more machines simultaneously, if needed
- Familiarity with Tsugami and Citizen Swiss CNC machines with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls
- ISO 9001/ISO 13485 manufacturing background preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years in manufacturing related position, medical device industry preferred
