Key Responsibilities:
- Assembling a variety of structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically actuated component sub-assemblies.
- Assembling structural components to meet stringent aerospace standards.
- Working with engineers to review design concepts, providing feedback to improve ease of assembly, and supporting development tests.
- Reviewing, editing, and following detailed work instructions for precision assembly tasks.
- Planning and communicating assembly steps for complex mechanical installations.
- Safely working with hazardous systems containing chemicals and/or high-pressure environments.
- Operating standard tools and fabrication equipment for assembly and troubleshooting.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records while ensuring strict procedural compliance.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Collaborating in a team environment with multiple, rapidly changing priorities.
- Identifying and solving assembly-related issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Supporting the integration of propulsion systems and launch vehicle components.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in precision assembly.
- Experience drilling and preparing close tolerance holes for structural assembly and fastener installation.
- Ability to document and maintain accurate records while ensuring strict procedural compliance.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T standards.
- Experience assembling and troubleshooting aerospace, military hardware, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to use standard mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Climbing ladders and stairs, and working in small, restricted areas.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national or a U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder).
