Client Info / Who they are:

The client is seeking a talented Power BI Developer for a contract role to provide technical guidance and expertise in supporting the department in developing Power BI dashboards, DAX, data mappings, and monitoring high-volume of complex data processes.

Requirements / Who we are looking for:

• Must have an Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Power BI, including designing data models, relationships and DAX formulas for efficient data analysis. 
• Strong proficiency in developing complex DAX formulas for calculations, aggregations, and time intelligence.
• Experience in creating interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Experience with data integration (ETL) from multiple sources such as databases, spreadsheets, cloud services, and APIs.
• Ability to provide excellent customer support, meticulous quality of work, and work product.
• Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification and MS Dynamics Power Platform Certifications

Performance Objectives / What you’ll be doing:

• Designing data models and relationships in Power BI to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis. Creating DAX formulas to calculate and summarize data for visualizations.
• Creating interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards in Power BI that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Developing complex DAX formulas to perform calculations, aggregations, time intelligence, and other data manipulations within Power BI.
• Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into Power BI, including databases, spreadsheets, cloud services, and APIs.
• Optimizing Power BI reports and DAX calculations for improved performance and faster query response times.
• Data Visualization: Select appropriate visualizations (e.g., charts, tables, maps, KPIs) to represent data effectively and enable users to gain insights quickly.
• Implementing data security measures within Power BI to ensure that sensitive information is accessible only to authorized users. Adhering to data governance policies and regulations.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data by validating and cleansing data during the integration process.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Documenting data models, DAX formulas, and development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Identifying and resolving issues related to data connections, DAX calculations, and report performance.
