Power-BI Developer at Key Concepts Knowledgebase

Position Summary/Overview: 

Key Concepts Knowledgebase, LLC., is searching for a Power-BI Developer to join our dynamic team. This person will be responsible for developing Power-BI reports using the latest data visualization tools, technologies, and personal dashboard development experiences. The suitable candidate must have strong SQL database knowledge/experience, Power-BI Dashboard development/analytical reporting skills, good project management and communication skills, competent with Microsoft office applications suite, be able to develop SOPs and recommend changes to legacy SQL databases for Dashboard/Reports development. This is a remote position, however there may be times that the employee would work on-site at the client’s request.

The Power-BI Developer responsibilities are as follows: 

• Interact with stakeholders: Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and develop Power-BI solutions: Create reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI, SQL databases, and/or Excell spreadsheets.
• Data integration: Integrate Power BI reports into other applications for enhanced business capabilities.
• Custom visualizations: Develop custom visualizations and ensure data availability, security and accuracy.
• Advanced calculations: Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations.
• Testing and troubleshooting: Ensure the functionality and accuracy of formulas and visualizations information.
• Documentation: Document processes and methodologies used in the development process of solutions.

• Analysis: Evaluate existing SQL databases and make recommendations for reporting improvements.
• Requirements Gathering: Analyze requirements of client’s needs, SQL databases and reporting objectives to get the appropriate data points for reporting development.
• Project Management: Use the Agile framework to run projects and keep track of schedules.
• Design solutions: Create data models and dashboards that make complex data easy to understand, interpret and act on.
• Develop reports: Create automated reports and dashboards that provide business insights.
• Communicate insights: Share insights with the business to improve decision-making. 
• Train and support: Provide training and support to help end-users get up to speed with Power-BI dashboards.

Qualifications:   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Undergrad in Computer science, engineering, or Business Administration.
• 3-5 years of experience in Power-BI development in an enterprise environment.
• 3-5 years of experience working with SQL databases in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to obtain public trust clearance to work in the federal government environment.

• Experience and/or knowledge of the IT Service delivery environment.
