Title: Porter
Job Purpose
The role of a Porter is to keep the venue clean and organized for our guests.
In addition, all staff is expected to create and maintain an inviting atmosphere for our guests. This atmosphere is created through positivity, support, a shared knowledge, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- The major responsibilities for this position will center on these key areas:
- Complete all housekeeping tasks directed by the Facility Manager and Supervisor
- Clean, repair, and conduct general maintenance on the interior and exterior of the venue,
- including but not limited to floors, storage areas, restrooms, etc.
- Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked with the proper supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.)
- Maintain a proper inventory and par level of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Understand the proper condition of the Puttery venue and work diligently to maintain it
- Be responsive to all guest requests and concerns relating to cleanliness and safety
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a custodial role preferred
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and have a good level of stamina and mobility
- Work schedule varies and will include working on days, nights, holidays, and weekends and requires standing and/or walking for extended periods both indoors and outdoors
- Familiarity with safety & sanitation, along with industry best practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for hours at a time, including maneuvering up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at-a-time without assistance
