Position Summary:
Develops operating and capital budgets for the plant. Responsible for all physical assets of the plant. Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain a safe and clean operation. Put in place an effective Safety Plan to achieve site, division and corporate goals. • Maintain close working relations with Customers. • Plans and directs the activities of the manufacturing and maintenance departments and all of the support services. Develop and maintain trust with employees to establish credibility. • Analyzes operational costs, seeks manufacturing improvement and insures there is a program to continuously control and reduce costs, improve quality and operating efficiency. • Responsible for annual technology and productivity plans that give required improvement in costs. • Develops operating and capital budgets for the plant. • Responsible for all physical assets of the plant. • Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations • Responsible for hiring, discharges, and promotions. Required Education: Four year undergraduate Engineering, business or related. Significant experience in tube and core industry could substitute for a degree. Preferred Education: Four year undergraduate Engineering, business or related. Required Experience: Eight years Preferred Experience: Would like to see experience as PE / QE, Shift Supervisor, Superintendent. Good hands-on knowledge of tubes and cores.
