Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our team. This role is integral to our finance department and business operations, providing critical financial insights to help shape our strategic direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and reporting activities at the plant level. This includes managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, preparing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Permanent Plant Controller will also play a key role in inventory management and cost accounting, with a particular focus on identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

The Permanent Plant Controller will also play a key role in inventory management and cost accounting, with a particular focus on identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all plant-level accounting, finance, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage the financial close process, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of inventory levels and costs.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Utilize ERP systems (such as Costpoint) to automate and streamline financial processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA or CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in GAAP and experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as Costpoint) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify trends and anomalies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
