Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior leadership to establish financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, project monitoring, and reporting standards monthly and annually.
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and obligations tied to equity owners, loans, and contracts.
Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and workflows.
Lead the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting, identifying and explaining variances across reporting periods.
Establish and monitor quantitative performance metrics (KPIs) grounded in sound financial practices, providing timely and accurate information to operational management.
Analyze operational performance against plans and standards, prepare financial statements, and interpret results for various management levels.
Support the development and maintenance of cost models to identify and track cost-saving opportunities.
Conduct analyses related to labor productivity, job costing, and work-in-progress (WIP) balances, ensuring accurate costing and margin reporting.
Oversee daily cash management and treasury activities to maintain positive account balances.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, supporting both task execution and professional growth.
Review and enhance financial processes to drive improvements across the organization.
Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Strong presentation skills to address questions from stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective implementation within deadlines and budgets.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including modeling complex business scenarios, budgets, and financial calculations.
Deep understanding of general ledger balances, reconciliations, and controls.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution.
7–10 years of finance experience in a for-profit organization, with mandatory experience in a manufacturing environment.
