The successful candidate will be an integral part of the management team, collaborating closely with peers in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. The role demands a proficient handling of documentation, systematization, and control processes, ensuring best practices across operations, warehousing, distribution, and administration areas.

- Oversee accounting procedures for manufacturing operations adhering to U.S. GAAP standards.
- Manage routine and extraordinary accounting tasks including financial reporting cycles (daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly), budget forecasts, inventory counts, and audit coordination.
- Ensure transactions and cost accounting practices are accurately maintained.
- Audit transactional and master data records for accuracy, workflow compliance, and cost implications.
- Offer critical business analysis, forecasting, and budgeting insights for the manufacturing division.
- Retrieve and analyze data from SQL databases to enhance decision-making processes across the organization.
- Develop and scrutinize cost-of-goods sold data, conducting periodic cost studies on products and equipment.
- Guarantee that production work orders are accurately costed in line with corporate standards and investigate/report on any variances.
- Propose and implement enhancements to the internal controls system, particularly in areas relating to inventory and manufacturing.
- Champion ongoing improvements in accounting and administrative procedures.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, with CPA certification being an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in a process manufacturing setting with a focus on cost accounting.
- A solid grasp of U.S. GAAP, especially as it applies to manufacturing.
- High proficiency in SQL database management, Excel modeling, and general computer skills. Familiarity with BI tools like QlikView or MS Power Query is desirable.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Visual Mfg., or MS Dynamics is essential.
