Position Summary: Pizza Cook
To prepare food items according to their restaurant’s menu and recipe standards and guest requests. To assure preparation and service is of the highest possible quality in a timely manner. Italian cuisine and fast casual dining experience preferred.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Knowledgeable of menu items and recipes for each kitchen station worked.
- Identifies and informs the kitchen manager regarding any problems on station.
- Works accurately but with haste.
- Utilizes proper food handling techniques following company health and safety
- standards.
- Maintains proper product par levels of assigned stations and knows the prep.
- Cleans and organizes work area.
- Pays attention to details.
- Maintains good communication skills.
- Capable of working in public on live stations and maintaining superior
- appearance standards.
- Capable of following the prep list to each assigned station.
- Capable of handling dough and working in an environment containing flour.
- Maintains professionalism.
- Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
- Adheres to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years high volume cooking experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Food safety certified.
- Must have knowledge of kitchen equipment and good knife skills.
- Must be capable of opening dough by hand quickly and correctly.
- Must be capable of following directions.
- Must possess good recall and memory.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Physical Demand:
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently standing, walking, listening, speaking, and smelling.
- Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, and eye-hand coordination, reaching, twisting, and balancing.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 55 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work performed in climate-controlled environment with occasional hot and cold temperature changes. Team member will be required to stand on concrete floors, tiles/mats, and walk on uneven or wet surfaces. Team member will be exposed to knives and mechanical kitchen equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
