Physical Therapist

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the guidance of a Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality physical therapy services both at the center and in patients' homes. You will play a crucial role in implementing individualized treatment plans, enhancing patient function and independence, and collaborating with the rehabilitation team.

Setting: Out Patient Clinic

Population: Geriatric population

Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS

Essential Job Duties:

• Administer patient treatment programs as outlined by the Physical Therapist.

• Assist the Physical Therapist with obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.

• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs tailored to each patient’s treatment plan.

• Manage the scheduling of patient treatments, clinical visits, and billing processes.

• Deliver and document physical therapy interventions, including active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, and functional training for activities of daily living (ADLs). This also includes treatments such as massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electrical modalities.

• Participate in end-of-life care coordination and support as needed.

• Other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant License, or proof of license eligibility in the state of practice.

• If the PTA degree was earned outside of the U.S., it must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably with a frail or elderly population.

• Experience in a similar clinical setting with a focus on elderly or frail populations.

• Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage patient care and coordinate with the rehabilitation team.
