Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient - Mobile Rehab - Aquacare Physical Therapy
Salisbury, MD 21801
About the Job
Start your next adventure as an outpatient physical therapist assistant with the Aquacare Physical Therapy PLUS!
Aquacare Physical Therapy PLUS is an innovative mobile rehab model that brings the benefits of outpatient (Part B) therapy directly to patients' homes. It serves more active individuals focused on maintaining independence, recovering from orthopedic injuries, or achieving personal fitness goals. This role offers the unique advantage of spending more time with each patient and managing a smaller daily caseload compared to a traditional outpatient clinic.
If you love working in an outpatient setting but prefer fewer patient visits per day with the ability to provide personalized care without time constraints, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient-level therapy services to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries (e.g., joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, spinal procedures) or managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., back pain, arthritis).
- Manage a diverse orthopedic caseload: Treat individuals with injuries, pain, or movement dysfunctions, as well as active older adults focused on mobility and injury prevention.
- Create personalized care plans emphasizing strength building, mobility, balance improvement, and pain reduction.
- Spend more one-on-one time with each patient, focusing on quality care rather than volume—ideal for therapists who prefer patient-centered outcomes.
- Provide care in homes, parks, fitness centers, or other community settings, ensuring sessions are functional and relevant to patients' real-world activities.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and healthcare teams to coordinate care effectively.
Is Aquacare PT PLUS the Right Fit for You?
This role is ideal for a physical therapist assistant who:
- Enjoys working in an outpatient setting but prefer a lower daily patient volume, allowing for more time per session and deeper connections with patients.
- Has experience or an interest in orthopedic rehab and managing musculoskeletal conditions.
- Thrives in autonomous, community-based settings and appreciate the flexibility of mobile care.
- Values patient-driven outcomes and want to create personalized care plans tailored to individual goals.
- Prefers to work in varied environments, from patients' homes to parks and fitness centers, keeping sessions engaging and functional.
