We are seeking a seasoned, passionate, and dedicated Physical Therapy Technician and Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Houston. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in rehabilitation within a dynamic and innovative environment. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a critical role in helping our employees recover from injuries, maintain their physical health, and prevent future injuries. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of physical therapy, with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
1. Assess the physical condition of patients to diagnose their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
2. Implement and monitor physical therapy programs that are designed to improve and maintain patient physical health.
3. Use a variety of techniques, such as exercises, stretches, and equipment to treat injuries and improve physical fitness.
4. Educate patients and their families about their treatment plans and how to prevent future injuries.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to create comprehensive care plans for patients.
6. Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
7. Maintain detailed records of patient's therapy and progress.
8. Ensure all equipment used in therapy sessions is properly set up and used safely.
9. Assist patients with mobility and physical exercises as part of their ongoing therapy.
10. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients throughout their recovery process.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Technician or in a similar role.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
3. A valid license to practice physical therapy.
4. Deep knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation techniques and practices.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with patients and their families.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different patient needs.
9. High level of physical fitness and the ability to demonstrate exercises and movements.
10. Proficiency in using physical therapy equipment and technology.
11. A compassionate and patient-focused approach.
