Short Description
The Phlebotomy Technician is primarily responsible for collecting specimens for laboratory testing in the inpatient setting. Patients may range from newborn through older adults. Team members are assigned to various inpatient units based on volume and are expected to provide timely and accurate service.Experience Required
1 year experience in phlebotomy
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
License/Certification Requirements
Provide proof of formal Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training is required (annual recertification is not required); PBT (ASCP) certification highly desirable.
