Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling
- Perform compounding services under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Help with administering vaccinations, following pharmacy protocols
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary prescription clarifications
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and assisting patients with over-the-counter products
- Process patient insurance claims and resolve any issues related to prescription coverage
- Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Manage inventory, including ordering medications and supplies, and checking for expiration dates
- Comply with all federal and state regulations governing pharmacy practice
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ability to obtain certification within 3 months
- Prior experience in a retail pharmacy setting (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate patient care
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and insurance processing
