Certified Pharmacy Technician
As a Certified Pharmacy Technician with Vivo Infusion, you will play a crucial role in our patient's care by preparing and dispensing infusion drugs and ancillary supplies within your scope of practice. You will assist in inventory management, including ordering and organizing pharmaceuticals, and preparing IV admixtures while following stringent sterility guidelines and ensuring all regulations and compliance standards are met. In this collaborative role, you will review patient orders, coordinate medication deliveries, and support clinical staff as needed. Compensation:
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 / hour
Bonus Potential - 5% Annually

Primary Role Responsibilities:
- Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies in appropriate locations; Stocks and maintains medications. Notifies pharmacist when supplies/products need to be ordered.
- Reviews orders, regimens, and verifies that all necessary requirements are met prior to patient appointment date.
- Retrieves appropriate medication from inventory; Prepares intravenous (IV) admixtures or other sterile products accurately following sterility guidelines; Prepares upcoming patient labs when required.
- Requests new orders from referring offices when necessary; Coordinates specialty pharmacy/free drug programs and medication delivery when needed; Completes and documents appropriately related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
- Participates in clinical trial research as applicable.
- Assists clinical staff when necessary.
- Adheres to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations; Maintains a clean, safe work environment and reports any potential or actual equipment failures.
- Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, directives and pharmacy operation standards; Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification, required. Certification must be active at the time of employment.
- 2 years in a fast-paced patient-facing or customer service role, preferred.
- 1 year of working experience in a pharmacy environment, preferred.
- Must have a working knowledge of medications, dosage calculations, potential interactions, as well as medical terminology and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Must possess strong attention to detail skills with the ability to maintain accuracy and organization in a fast-paced environment with the potential for multiple interruptions.
- Intermediate computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and electronic recordkeeping.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills are required for this position. The person in this role must maintain the ability to communicate professionally and effectively across a varied audience including fellow team members, patients, physicians, leadership etc.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
