We are currently seeking a highly-skilled, reliable, and dedicated Pharmacy Technician (Admixture) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role demands a deep understanding of pharmacy operations, including the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medication. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to patient safety.
Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Technician (Admixture), you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications.
2. Admixing medications as per the prescription, ensuring the correct dosage, labeling, and packaging.
3. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
4. Monitoring medication inventory levels and restocking as necessary.
5. Adhering to infection-control standards during the preparation of medications.
6. Assisting in the management of pharmaceutical supplies.
7. Documenting actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and patient records.
8. Handling sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A High School Diploma or equivalent. A Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
3. Proven experience in admixture of medications.
4. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication names, and their uses.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
8. Proficiency in using computer systems, including pharmacy operations software.
9. A strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
