Pharmacist - Lone Star Family Health Center

The Pharmacist is responsible for administering and advising on appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients and executing a physician’s prescription. This position will also address the patient’s questions as needed.

Part time hours, 1 shift per week plus PRN (as needed). Office hours are Monday- Friday, 8am- 5:30pm. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

• Timely completion of prescription filling process.
• Performs data verification and product verification functions accurately.
• Ensures all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently and safely.
• Performs troubleshooting functions.
• Follows all procedures to assure accuracy in the prescription filling process.
• Maintains neat and organized environment.
• Accepts prescriptions from doctors and nurses from electronic medical records.
• Operates PDX/EPS.
• Shows patients quality, timely and compassionate service.
• Helps manage pharmacy inventory.
• Maintains all Local, State, Federal laws, and 340B Rules.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Texas Pharmacist License
