- Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

- Responsible for educating healthcare professionals and patients on medication use, as well as compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care.
- Perform professional and technical activities associated with the distribution of medications, the maintenance of drug inventory, patient records and patient financial records.
- Supervise interns and technicians for assigned area.
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current License to practice Pharmacy in the State of NM
- Knowledge of pharmacy operational systems which may include unit dose distribution, IV admixture, QA, DUR, Pharmacy computer systems, and automated drug dispensing equipment.
Preferred Job Requirements
- One (1) year pharmacist experience
- ASHP accredited PGY1 residency (preferred) or equivalent experience (required). A minimum of 2 years as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting (equivalent to PGY1).
- PGY2 residency or equivalent experience (preferred). Three-five years experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting (equivalent to PGY2).
- New Mexico Pharmacist Preceptor License
- IV Certification or must obtain within 6 months from date of hire.
- Board Certification (BCPS) or must obtain with 3 years of date of position
- American Heart Association ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
