Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will ensure the safe and effective use of medications, playing a key part in patient care. This position requires a dedication to patient service, clinical expertise, and collaboration within a dynamic, multidisciplinary hospital team.
Relocation Package: $1,000 cash deposit and up to $8,200 in a managed relocation budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Offer expert guidance on pharmaceutical care to patients and healthcare providers.
- Ensure precise and efficient medication distribution.
- Monitor and adjust patient medication therapies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Actively participate in clinical rounds with healthcare teams to provide pharmaceutical insights.
Duties:
- Review and verify physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Prepare and dispense medications, including IV infusions, following aseptic and safety protocols.
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services across various departments, such as ER, PICU, and Level II Trauma Center.
- Conduct medication therapy management and patient counseling to optimize treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor treatment plans to individual patient needs.
- Monitor patient medication responses and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication dispensing and patient interactions to meet regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Current New York State Pharmacist license (or ability to obtain).
- Availability to work on-site in Plattsburgh, NY.
- Flexibility to work the evening shift.
Preferred:
- Residency training experience.
- Familiarity with Epic Systems (1+ year).
- Retail pharmacy experience.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
- Registered Pharmacist in New York State required.
Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution required.
- Preferred experience in clinical pharmacy or hospital medicine post-residency.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pharmacology, and therapeutic drug management.
- Hospital setting experience, particularly in ER or PICU, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and IV infusion protocols highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-focused and collaborative approach.

Employees receive $1000 in a bank deposit approx 1 mos prior to start date. Then they have up to $8,200 in reimbursable expenses. This is done through receipt submittal through our third party vendor UrbanBound.
