Chainbridge Solutions is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to work within a critical security program for our federal client. This individual would be responsible for background investigation processing in a highly dynamic environment, working with candidates and external systems such as PIPS/CVS and e-QIP to process and help adjudicate subjects as part of this organization’s onboarding.
This role is a Hybrid Remote position with an onsite location in the National Capital Region that requires ability to work within NCR 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiating, processing, reviewing, and monitoring cases prior to assignment for background investigation (BI) processing to ensure that they are complete.
- Review personal documents, Personnel Security Questionnaires (SF-86), and other records to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with the client’s guidelines
- Work under the direction of the Project Manager to complete tasks in a timely and compliant manner
Experience and Skill Requirements
- 3-5 years of eQIP experience including initiating, processing, reviewing, and monitoring cases prior to assignment for background investigation (BI) processing to ensure that they are complete.
- Experience with USAccess Credentialing Preferred
- Experience reviewing personal documents, Personnel Security Questionnaires (SF-86), and other records to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with the client’s guidelines.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills including basic functions (i.e. cut & paste).
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance for access to classified information or meet the customer’s minimum clearance requirements.
- Knowledge of federal HR laws, rules, regulations, principles, and practices related to personnel security actions.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, develop facts, set priorities and deadlines, and resolve complex problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively and foster cooperative relationships to achieve common goals.
- Ability to obtain and retain a favorable suitability determination based on a completed federal background investigation
Physical and Mental Requirements:
