Personal Injury Attorney from Elgen Staffing

Our client, a prominent law firm with offices throughout New Jersey, has an immediate need for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney, to join their winning team in Jersey City.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all phases of plaintiff personal injury litigation, from case inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information for NY and NJ cases.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court team members.
• Manage case files and maintain organized documentation. Schedule depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings Assist in trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit preparation.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
• Manage two paralegals.
• Take depositions and original motion hearings.
• Prepare arbitration statements and trial information statements.
• Travel to Court, client meetings and conduct zoom meetings when applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to listen clearly, manage multiple caseloads and a team.
• Proficiency in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and resolving property damage claims.
• Ability to trial cases and interact with clients.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Must be willing to work in a challenging environment.
• Must have a Juris Doctorate or equivalent.
• Must be Licensed in New Jersey.
• Possess a strong academic record of 3.0 and above (preferred).
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney.
• Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills.
• Bilingual in (English/Spanish) is a plus.
