**JOB SUMMARY**
The Emergency Medical Technician at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for providing critical patient care and safe transportation, including triaging and treating critically ill and injured patients, maintaining effective communication within the multidisciplinary team, and projecting a compassionate image to patients and customers. This role requires the ability to recognize changing patient needs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and prioritize dispatch during peak acuity.
**JOB FUNCTIONS**
Utilizes skills to facilitate triage, treatment, and transport of critically ill and injured patients.
Provides safe appropriate level care transport of patients (emergency and routine).
Maintains appropriate radio/verbal communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care to patient.
Project caring, friendly and helpful image to patients and other customers.
Maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in Emergency Medical Service.
Complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
