Stanford Health Tri-Valley Family Medicine Residency Program and University Medical Partners (UMP), a partner of Stanford Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatrician to join our Family Medicine Residency clinic in Pleasanton, CA.
Position Overview:
This unique position combines direct patient care with educational responsibilities, providing an opportunity for a pediatrician to play a crucial role in the professional development of family medicine residents. The pediatrician will work closely with residents on a one-on-one basis, fostering a collaborative learning environment that enhances clinical skills and patient care.
The teaching responsibilities for this position include mentor ing family medicine residents for 8 four - week blocks each year in addition to p articipati ng in the family medicine educational didactics 6-8 times per year.

Located in Pleasanton, CA the goals for the Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley FM residency program are to address the national physician shortage, create a pipeline for primary care clinicians and community leaders serving the Tri-Valley region, and develop the primary care national academic leaders of the future.

Position Highlights :
- 24-32 patient contact hours per week
- Community-based / teaching practice
- Provide formative feedback to residents during patient care
- Provide summative evaluations for residents at the end of each block rotation
- Practice evidence-based medicine following American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines and standards
- Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to the AAP's principles, including patient care, preventative care such as vaccinations, safety, and ethical guidelines
- Committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care in alignment with APP's policies and recommendations
- Providers see an average of 15-18 patients a day
- Clinic Hours - M-F from 8:15am-5:15pm
- Opportunity to practice full-spectrum Pediatrics and performing basic outpatient office procedures such as suturing, circumcisions, tongue clips, etc.
