Payroll Tax Specialist - PEG Staffing & Recruiting

Join our financial client's dynamic team as a Payroll Tax Analyst, where you'll take charge of payroll tax operations and ensure seamless compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You'll be the key player in managing the partnership with third-party tax services, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness in all tax filings. If solving problems and making sense of complex data excite you, this role is your perfect fit! This role will start out as a contract, with possibility of becoming more and is fully on site in downtown St. Louis. No worries about where to park though, they have parking directly across from their building!
What You'll Be Doing:

• 
  Keep payroll transactions organized and accurate with meticulous record-keeping.
• 
  Navigate the world of payroll laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
• 
  Be audit-ready by providing essential records and documentation.
• 
  Dive into cash activity reports, reconciling Payroll and third-party tax service data.
• 
  Ensure payroll reports align flawlessly with tax forms and filings.
• 
  Tackle tax returns and payments for agencies outside of third-party services.
• 
  Secure state and local identification numbers for newly acquired entities.
• 
  Lend your expertise to international teams when questions arise.

Who You Are:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in payroll tax analysis.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) a must, UKG Ultipro HUGE bonus!
• 
  Deep understanding of payroll operations and tax compliance.
• 
  Exceptional organizational skills with laser-sharp attention to detail.
• 
  Strong analytical thinker with a knack for solving complex problems.
•
