Job Description:
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our client in Rancho Cordova. This is an excellent chance to join a dynamic team and contribute to accurate and efficient payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly and/or monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain payroll records, including timecards, deductions, and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline payroll processes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-state payroll experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay $30 - $35 per hr.
