We are currently looking for a Global Payroll Specialist to join our team working hybrid in one of office locations.
Responsibilities
- Processes global payroll (US, UK, Canada) for over 600 employees including supplemental commission and bonus payments, and time and labor administration. Performs detailed review of all payroll/personnel master file changes. Balances hours, additional payments and audits various exception reports prior to finalizing paychecks.
- Uses analytical skills to reconcile all tax accounts and investigate variances. Reconciles, prepares, files, and distributes all tax reporting and year-end tax forms and makes any corrections as needed
- Balances and prepares general ledger, payroll and compensation reporting to stakeholders. Researches exception items and takes corrective action to ensure accuracy.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of payroll changes, tax changes, and payroll applicable laws to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Ensures integrity of data and accuracy of compensation information in HRIS systems. Identifies and corrects any potential data issues within HRIS Systems.
- Work closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead special projects within the payroll department.
- Administers Compensation Management System while partnering with vendor to complete configuration and testing. Delivers training to managers
Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of relevant payroll experience
- Working knowledge of payroll processing, federal and state tax principles, and wage and hour laws for entities in multi countries/ states strongly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Proficiency in excel – advanced formulas and functions, demonstrated auditing skills and accuracy in data management through reporting and reconciliations
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Experience with UKG Pro desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- Working with HRIS, including data extraction, analysis, and system report building
