The Consulting Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, auditing, data entry, and file management. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations and requirements, and will be able to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Payroll Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Efficiently managing and processing all payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Conducting regular payroll audits to ensure compliance with legal and company regulations.
3. Accurately entering payroll data and time entries, including alphanumeric and numeric data.
4. Overseeing all aspects of file management and filing, ensuring that all payroll documentation is accurately recorded and stored.
5. Processing garnishments, benefits, and compensation, ensuring that all deductions are correctly calculated and applied.
6. Collaborating with various departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide payroll information.
7. Providing expert advice and guidance on payroll matters to stakeholders within the organization.
8. Staying up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.
9. Developing and implementing efficient payroll procedures and policies to improve operations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Consulting Payroll Specialist, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, auditing, data entry, file management, and other related areas.
2. Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
3. Proficiency in using payroll software and systems.
4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
10. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
