- Manage full-cycle multi-state (employees in 30+ states, including CA) payroll for exempt, non-exempt employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-monthly payroll, commissions, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Experience with guarantees and draws for salespeople and calculating what pay they need to receive based on commissions that might have been earned, possibly prorating payments.
- Manually calculating commissions for salespeople for their first 3 months. After that commissions are received in a report, but analysis for draws/guarantees still needs to be completed by this role.
- Understanding of blended overtime concepts and calculations.
- Calculations of final pay and quick processing of terminations to comply with state guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, regulations, and trends across all states that employees reside in.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Manage leave of absence programs and requests in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in communication with employees and vendors, in relation to payroll.
We are looking for these skills:
- Strong Excel Skills, including competency in vlookup, pivot tables and intermediate formulas.
- Technologically adept with proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail, to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
