Payroll & Compensation Manager - Onsite

In this role, you will serve as a hands-on leader, managing all aspects of our payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time by managing payroll systems, calculating salaries, deductions, and taxes, while adhering to all relevant employment laws and regulations. You will lead a small team, serving as an integral part of our Human Resources Team. Coordinating with Operations and Finance, you will maintain compliance and service to our associates. We support an organization of approximately 2,000 associates spread across 70+ locations in 19 states. Skills/Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, with 2+ years of recent experience
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word
- Troubleshooting and resolution of payroll-related issues

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS (Sage HRMS is a plus!)
- Experience dealing with labor unions
Education Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or Human Resources is preferred but not mandatory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support and to day-to-day processing of payroll and the Human Resources Department.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly, monthly, and annual payroll processes using ADP.
- Ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of garnishments, union dues, benefits and various other processes within your influence.
- Validate new hire paperwork and personnel changes, ensuring data is correctly entered into ADP and the Sage HRIS.
- Audit time and attendance records, utilizing reports to ensure legal compliance.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to resolve matters.
- Assist in the identification of new payroll practices and procedures. NOTE: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to communicate telephonically for periods of greater than 4 hours.
- Ability to frequently view and change data on a standard computer.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time up to 6 hours and lift boxes of 20 lbs.
