As Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will report to the Assistant Controller. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing Ceridian Dayforce software.
- Process monthly eligibility for company health insurance plan as well as annual open enrollment.
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of employee records.
- Maintain, analyze and reconcile data in MS Excel. Consistently demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Excel.
- Record changes affecting net wages, such as federal, state, and local taxes, voluntary and involuntary deductions, and insurance coverage for each employee.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform audits to ensure data is accurate for payroll processing and administration.
- Prepare and import payroll financial data into the accounting system.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Payroll experience with a demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of an outsourced payroll provider, preferably Ceridian/Dayforce.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel experience.
- Excellent research and data analysis skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Basic knowledge in local, state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate and work on multiple tasks at the same time, and meet required deadlines.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive and confidential payroll and Company information.
- Willingness to work holiday Mondays based on corporate payroll calendar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
- Experience administrating health insurance benefits.
- Experience working in accounting systems.
