Salary/Hourly Rate:
$45k – $50k DOE
Position Overview:
The ideal Payroll Administrator will be hardworking and have a hands-on mentality. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. This is a unique opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:
- Collect and verify timesheets for compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
- Compile and enter payroll data into ADP.
- I-9 audits to ensure that the new hire I-9s are received and compliant.
- Review post-processing payroll reports.
- Perform payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, terminations status changes, wage garnishments, deductions, expense reimbursements, per diems, and direct deposits.
- Ensure all payroll records are maintained, distribute paychecks, and prepare manual checks as needed.
- Responsible for enrolling, changing, and terminating policyholders from group insurance plans.
- Respond to unemployment and child support notifications.
- Prepare, maintain, and properly close out direct purchase orders.
Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator:
- Payroll experience.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Detailed and highly organized.
- General HR experience/understanding is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Software: Microsoft Office (proficient in Excel) and ADP Workforce Now are a plus but not required.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field is preferred but not required.
