Paving Foreman - SST Direct

Direct Hire: Union Paving Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Union Paving Foreman to join a 100% Employee-Owned construction company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you have a strong background in civil construction, road/highway paving, and construction safety, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the paving crew, ensuring efficient and safe operations, timely completion of projects, and maintaining project budgets. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and a natural leader who thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Salary: $124,800 - $145,600 per year (DOE)
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Additional Perks:

• Company vehicle provided, or a $1,200 vehicle allowance with a gas card.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee paving operations and ensure smooth workflow at construction sites.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the crew and management.
• Coordinate and plan daily work schedules for paving crew members.
• Delegate tasks and ensure all crew members are operating efficiently.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
• Assist with additional duties as needed by project requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a Paving Foreman role or similar.
• Extensive knowledge of paving operations, heavy civil construction, and job site management.
• Experience in managing and leading teams on road construction and paving projects.
