Position Summary
Assists with professional nursing staff with the provision of basic adult patients. Assist with professional nursing staff with the provision of basic care to include: vital signs, hygiene and monitoring. Measures and records patients intakes, outputs, and temperatures (oral, auxiliary, and rectal) and advises supervisor of abnormalities promptly. Documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record. This position will also perform the role of a unit secretary as needed. Provides clinical and reception support and manages supply procurement, receipt and storage for the unit as directed by the Charge Nurse and/or Director. Enters orders/tests accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
Position Requirements/Qualifications: (including required licensure/certifications, education and job knowledge / experience
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Current AHA CPR card required
- CNA Completed Course preferred
- Phlebotomy and EKG Experience preferred
- Enrolled in Nursing program with completion of one clinical class preferred
