Responsibilities:The Patient Assistance Program Specialist reports to the Regional Director of Home Infusion and Patient Access. This role has the primary responsibility to perform all operational activities to assist infusion patients with financial assistance needs. This role identifies infusion patients who are uninsured or underinsured and assists the patient to enroll in available programs to help with co-insurance responsibilities. Ensures all patient assistance activity is compliant with state, federal and regulatory laws and standards.
Qualifications:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 1 year of experience in infusion or hospital pharmacy
3. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and leadership skills are required.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills are required.
Preferred qualification:
1. Expertise in 340B program operations and compliance.
2. Proficiency in Caretend electronic medical records (EMR) system.
3. Knowledge of outpatient pharmacy revenue cycle as it relates to prescription and medical benefits.
