Overview
The Dallas office of Kaufman Dolowich, an AV-rated® firm designated one of the “Best Companies to Work For” among U.S. law firms by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Labor and Employment practice. The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide.
KD’s Labor and Employment practice includes employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour defense, as well as traditional employment law matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently manage a litigation caseload by working cases from inception through resolution. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in and oversee written discovery, take and defend depositions, participate in extensive motion practice and oral arguments, as well as participate in trials.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA approved Law School.
- Admitted in Texas.
- Employment litigation experience including discrimination, harassment, wage & hour and employment contract cases.
- Familiarity with federal and state employment statutes.
- Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies is also beneficial.
- Outstanding research, writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills.
