Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the intake process for new legal matters by assessing issues, entering data into systems, coordinating with attorneys and internal stakeholders, and tracking progress to resolution.
- Prepare, execute, file, and manage legal documents while providing general administrative support to attorneys.
- Draft standard legal documents and correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Review and summarize legal documents, process payment requests, and ensure efficient resolution of matters.
- Conduct research and compile and analyze data as needed.
- Assist with due diligence by collecting information and documents from internal and external sources.
- Address day-to-day issues related to litigation or other legal projects.
- Notarize and/or witness the execution of legal documents as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, with a preference for corporate law or law firm settings.
- Ability to obtain Notary Public certification in Massachusetts within 90 days of hire.
- Familiarity with real estate principles and basic document drafting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and research abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
