Responsibilities
As a part of our legal team, the Paralegal Coordinator will assist in-house paralegals and attorneys with day-to-day operations, contract management, and liaison with both internal and external contacts. This teammate will enhance the processes of our legal department, optimizing legal services delivery, and ensuring overall operational efficiency and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain contract management system by uploading documents and keying in relevant information and updates
- Notify internal stakeholders of expiring contracts
- Coordinate signatures by authorized individuals and notarize as needed
- Sort and respond to mail received on behalf of the Paralegal Team
- Initiate and track mailings of original documents to both internal and external contacts
- Anticipate support needs of attorneys across a variety of corporate legal matters
- Communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates
- Conduct legal research as needed
- Review and process invoices
- Manage various legal department projects and initiatives and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in legal operations or related field
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
- Familiarity with cloud based legal workflow and repository software
- Experience with Adobe Sign and/or DocuSign required
- Notary Public for Alabama or be eligible to obtain
