About the Job
Trustpoint.one is supporting a leading AmLaw for in their search for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support the Attorneys in the Firm’s Chicago location, on a direct hire basis. The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will assist attorneys in the closing of commercial real estate financings and other transactional matters. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Due diligence review for commercial real estate transactions
- Preparing and managing deal-related spreadsheets and closing checklists
- Organizing closing documentation
- Preparation of tax documents related to transactions
- Ordering title and survey documents
- Managing data rooms
- Working directly with title officers and surveyors to address title coverage, scope of survey work and resolve related issues
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal handling commercial real estate transactions
- Experience with law firms, commercial lenders, or other related entities will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; Paralegal Certificate is a plus
- A demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly excellent technical writing skills, are essential
- Must be proactive and able to work independently, as well as with a team and with clients
