As a Packaging Line Mechanic, you will:
- Set up, adjust, and perform changeovers on equipment such as tube and bottle fillers, cappers, labeling equipment, Videojet coders, cartoners, and bundle wrappers.
- Troubleshoot and adjust powder pressing and handling equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace defective parts using equipment manuals, and take corrective action.
- Analyze mechanical and operational problems to ensure seamless functioning of production lines.
- Monitor lines for malfunctions, recurring problems, or unsafe conditions and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality production.
- Perform reactive maintenance to respond to equipment failures promptly and preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
- Read and understand schematics and technical drawings for troubleshooting and repair.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and validation teams to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety and sanitation rules.
- Contribute to achieving daily production goals, up-time standards, and deadlines.
- 2-5 years of experience as a mechanic in a production environment.
- High school or Technical School diploma (cGMP knowledge is a plus).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical equipment and a solid understanding of safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety procedures.
- PLC experience is a plus.
