Job Description
Maintain the facility process safety management program in accordance with Kraft Heinz corporate Ammonia Refrigeration Management program. Maintains the daily operation of all facility equipment, which is related to the operation of ammonia refrigeration systems, facility utility systems to include air, water, gas, electrical, chemical, steam, and fire sprinkler. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Other responsibilities to include performing routine building maintenance tasks and other scheduled assignments as required.
Job Responsibilities
PSM Coordinator and Refrigeration Technician:
1. Maintains and operates the Ammonia refrigeration system and associated equipment, boilers, hot water heaters, roof top HVAC units, air compressors, O-zone generation equipment, water softening equipment, backup generator, and fixed fire suppression systems in accordance with all established safety procedures, as well as Company Policy and state and federal regulations and codes.
2. Under supervision, performs semi-specialized tasks in the maintenance of the general plant and/or office building in the skill areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, cement applications, door repairs (personnel and industrial), maintains building lighting, rooftop ventilation units, fire sprinkler piping repairs, building electrical, and utilities
3. Monitors, adjust, and maintains the wastewater system and coordinates the repairs of wastewater system components including cleaning, troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical repairs.
4. Understands, troubleshoots, and repairs of all previously stated equipment and systems.
5. Conducts maintenance daily checks, logs and readings on previously stated equipment and systems.
6. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on previously stated equipment and systems as assigned to maximize uptime and operating efficiency.
7. Identifies all parts, supplies, and services required to maintain assigned areas and shifts.
8. Conducts routine inspections of walls, floors, ceilings, insulations, piping, roof, parking lot, wastewater system, etc.
9. Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
10. Replaces or updates inoperable or old building materials and appliances (e.g. motors, belts, pumps, window glass, sinks, doors, smoke alarms, cabinets, shelves, tile, light fixtures, filter systems, patios etc.) to provide a safe, comfortable working environment for employees using various tools and materials (e.g. welding equipment, ladders, power saws, hammers, drills, etc.).
11. Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process.
12. Coordinate and ensure all PHA’s are performed as required.
13. Ensure PSM program is always audit ready.
14. Ensure monthly PSM team meetings are held and documented with meeting minutes.
15. Participate in a 3-year PSM Compliance Audit at another facility at least once every three years.
16. Ensure follow up tracking is documented on all PHA recommendations to closure.
17. Ensure follow up tracking is documented on all Compliance Audit “Exceptions” and “Other Corrective Actions”.
18. Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates the facility manager and affected employees on all PHA open items.
19. Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates to the facility manager and affected employees on all Compliance Audit open Exceptions and Recommendations.
20. • Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates to the facility manager and affected employees on all Mechanical Integrity Inspection open defects.
21. • Ensure proper preventative maintenance procedures are written with detailed long text and revised as necessary on all ammonia equipment.

Qualifications:
1. EPA Section 608 Universal Certification maintained
2. Certification of Qualification on the Delimex ammonia refrigeration system, CO2 system, PSM process and facility SOP’s
3. Understanding of steam principles and facility steam systems with the ability to troubleshoot pumps, valves, piping and water treatment
4. General knowledge of the plant air system, water system, and Fire Protection System
5. High School Diploma.
6. HVAC Certification through an accredited vocational school. EPA Section 608 Universal Certification maintained

Physical Requirements:
Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, ascending, and descending moves up to 50 pounds; holds and grips object; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
Working Environment:
Primarily indoors in both a hot, humid production environment and cold, cooler environment.

Hourly union $28.50-$33.50 per hour depending on experience
