PSB Operator (1st Shift) - Oiles America Corporation

About the Job
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor the PSB Operator is responsible to produce quality PSB parts at set production rates and standard. Responsible to conduct changeovers as needed. May operate two machines simultaneously to meet customer demand.
FUNCTIONS & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Production
- Order production components and supplies from warehouse per Kan Ban board schedule
- Inform group leader or team lead of any potential problems that relate to safety, quality, or productivity
- Remove and replace grease containers as needed and refill grease rams as needed
- Perform machine changeovers and minor adjustments as needed
Quality
- Perform visual inspections of materials and finished products per standards
- Maintain proper safety procedures when operating equipment.
- Perform department housekeeping (5S) duties as required
Administrative
- Accurately record production, scrap, and defect information
- Submit completed paperwork to group Supervisor on timely basis
- Perform other assignments as directed by shift supervisor.
- Authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct a quality problem when related to the production process.
Education & Required Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year of manufacturing experience
Skills
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and verbal instruction
- This job requires a basic command of the English language
- Basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Must have basic understanding of the metric system of measurements.
- Must have basic understanding of the use of measuring instruments, including: calipers, electronic weight scales, and rulers.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to lift and/or push 35-50 pounds without assistance.
- Must have the ability to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
- Must have the ability to effectively hold & utilize small hand tools or gages.
- Must be able to visually detect small defects in production materials
- Must be able to hear buzzers, horns, and/or warning signals emitted by production equipment.
Safety
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- Report unsafe conditions or other safety related issues immediately
- Use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed
- Follow ISO-14001 procedures related to environmental impacts & aspects
