Job Description:
Transmission system responsible for the integration and system balancing of all transmission components by interfacing with individual CoEs, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and the Development Validation Center. Consultant Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Expertise with transmission or driveline components.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Powertrain / Engine / Transmission operation and components.
- Excellent problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects.
- Working knowledge of transmission component operation.
- Thorough knowledge: Productivity software from Google and Microsoft.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint OneDrive tools.
- Experienced with CAE/CFD analysis related to Powertrain components.
- Working knowledge of casting, injection molding, welding, and machining processes.
- Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
Responsibilities:
- Review DRE Design Proposals by scheduling hardware system design reviews.
- Coordinate with ACE on BOM and experimental transmission builds.
- Change notice review and approval ensuring checklists adhere to, Long Lead-time (LL), and Engineering Best Practices (E-BP).
- Confirms prototype hardware orders and procurement activities meet LL and E-BPs.
- Manages lessons learned documentation, facilitating communication regarding updates to E-BP.
- Periodically reviews component Validation Completion status with DVC Team.
- Coordinates DRBTR review keeping record of follow-up items and GIMS decision maker.
- Elevates resource issues to the CE and Sr. Manager as required.
- Collaborates with Application Engineering to rationalize CoE bulletin assessments.
- Manages BOM complexity and accuracy avoiding change notification stacking (backlog).
- Coordinates data generation and approval for AES/BES regulatory documents.
