Job Summary and Qualifications
Mammography Technician (Mammographer) -- PRN/Per Diem
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures.

As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- 2-year Associates degree in Radiologic Technology
- Vocational/technical education
- ARRT Mammography Certification: R.T. (M)
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography
- Minimum of 6 months current/recent experience as a Mammographer (hospital or outpatient setting)
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
