Experienced IT Security Project Manager
10+ years of professional IT and cyber/information security experience
6+ years of professional experience in a project management role
Prior experience supporting Federal clients ideally Dept of Treasury
Prior knowledge of C, C++, C#, Java or PHP programming languages
Strong experience with IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing
Data Loss Prevention experience including knowledge of anti-virus and anti-malware tools
Experience with windows, Linux and UNIX operating systems
Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols
Strong understanding of Agile processes
Working knowledge of confluence, Jira, and SharePoint
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and management skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks
Current Cyber certifications are strongly Desired (ideally CISSP or CASP+)
Current PMP certification is strongly desired
Bachelor's Degree in IT or computer science
DUTIES:
Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects
and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
Defines project scope and objectives.
Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls.
Establish plans and protocols to protect digital files and information systems against.
Unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction.
Maintain data and monitor security access.
Perform vulnerability testing, risk analysis and security assessments.
Conduct internal and external security audits.
Anticipate security alerts, incidents and disasters and reduce their likelihood.
Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems.
Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause.
Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures.
Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies.
Train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures.
Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.
Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
