PLC Controls Engineer - Judge Group

Location: Shelby (Township), MI
Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a PLC Controls Engineer

Job Description:

As a PLC Programmer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for assembly and gauging machinery. You’ll collaborate with program managers, mechanical designers, and the manufacturing team throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in PLC and HMI coding, SCADA configuration, and motion control will be essential for creating efficient and reliable multi-station assembly and test systems.

Responsibilities:

·                PLC and HMI Coding: Develop and debug PLC programs and human-machine interface (HMI) applications.

·                SCADA Configuration: Configure supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.

·                Motion Control: Apply your knowledge of motion control principles to optimize machine performance.

·                Panel View Plus and Panel Builder 32: Work with these tools for effective visualization and control.

·                Networking: Collaborate on network setup and communication protocols.

·                Mechatronic Systems: Apply your understanding of mechatronic systems and components.

·                Allen Bradley RS Logic 5000: Utilize this platform for programming.

• Optional Skills:
• SIEMENS Experience: Familiarity with SIEMENS PLCs is a plus.
• Powertrain Knowledge: Experience in powertrain systems is preferred.
• Ethernet IP: Work with Ethernet IP for communication.
• Step and State Logic: Understand and apply step and state logic.
• Robot Programming: Familiarity with Fanuc and ABB robot programming is advantageous.
• Willingness to Travel: Be prepared for domestic and international travel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrate exceptional work ethic and mechanical understanding.
• Experience: Prior experience with PLC programming, preferably Allen Bradley RS Logic 5000.
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability: Be ready to take charge of a station after assembly and ensure smooth machine operation.
