About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** IMCU/Cardiac Tele - Telemetry **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour nights, every other weekend, first to float **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 3 years **License:** Required **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, COVID Vaccine **Must-Have:** - Dysrhythmia interpretation skills with a proctored test on the first day (pass/fail) - Strong understanding of patient experience, HCAHPS, and core measures - Self-motivation and teamwork orientation - Open to first-time travelers **Job Description:** - Work in a 30-bed IMCU/Cardiac Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:3-4. - Conduct tele monitoring using Philips equipment and collaborate with monitor techs. - No vents; familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP required. - Maintain coordination with a 24/7 available pharmacy and respiratory team. - Engage with a hospitalist or intensivist team in-house. - Take part in a single-shift floor-specific orientation. - Common cases: CHF, COPD, renal failure, pneumonia (with drips, no titration needed). - Float among varying telemetry units as needed. - Participate in a rotating schedule, including 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. - Strict adherence to a navy scrub dress code. - Expect scheduling updates 2-3 weeks ahead, extending to 9 weeks later. - Unit aims for quick turnover and values support for its mission and values. - Hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, with possible full-hour pay in lieu.
