About the Job
The PC Tech Support provides IT support to South/North Florida’s operations within Florida East Coast Railway. This position provides local support for our end users by deploying, installing and imaging new laptops, desktops, workstations and other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:• Configure and install PC hardware, standard software (Microsoft Office & Tools), and FECR PC client application (according with a manual instruction)
• Repairing PC computers and peripheral equipment (monitor, printer, keyboard, mouse, phone), ensuring that the equipment is working properly and document the assigned tickets
• Running diagnostic programs and maintaining PC computer network connectivity (scaling if necessary with the networking team)
• Evaluation of PC network requirements setup and repair
• Gathering data to assess the needs of the internal customer
• Maintain PC inventory (hw & sw), and file the end user signed responsibility letters
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager administration
• Resolving incorrect PC settings
• Install antivirus agent and remove viruses or spyware, be able to replace hardware or reinstall the entire operating system
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associaste degree (2 years) in computer science or information technology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Windows professional / enterprise experience
• 5+ years’ experience working as a desktop support engineer
• Experience with user account and mailbox management for Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Windows professional / enterprise Operating Systems (10, 11)
• Microsoft Office Suite (2010, 2013 and 2016)
• Familiarity with common networking concepts and protocols
• Familiarity with wireless connectivity, and tablets/handheld computers
• Web Browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)
• Ability to effectively present information, metrics and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Work with users, and meet in groups to brainstorm, develop and implement technological solutions
• Speaks bilingual (Spanish/English)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 25% travel required
• Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard workweek)
• The applicant selected for this position will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test; passing results must be received prior to start date in new position
