Kids Above All is seeking a part-time overnight youth care worker for our Naperville, IL. This would be for Friday and Saturday nights 11pm-7am.
Job Summary:
The Youth Care Worker provides for the physical and emotional needs of adolescent residents in a group home setting. The goal is to work with the Group Home Team to ensure safety and appropriate supervision of residents.
- Responsible for supervising and monitoring residents.
- Enforce and maintain consistency concerning policies, rules, and licensing standards.
- Work cooperatively with other staff in planning and supervision of recreational and leisure time activities within Group Home and community; assisting in planning and carrying out of therapeutic activities for assigned clients.
- Make frequent decisions regarding resident’s activities and behaviors; know whereabouts of each resident at all times; coordinate coming and going of each individual in residence.
- Exercise control over the admission of visitors and use of the telephone; maintain proper privacy and security of residents and staff on duty.
- Teach and assist residents in life skills.
- Perform required record keeping for daily logs and resident files.
We are looking for:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 0-3 yrs experience with teens in a social service setting is a plus, but not required.
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record. Maintenance of required DCFS driver approval standards plus access to an insured automobile that meets standards for safety to transport clients as needed.
- Must reside in Illinois, this is a in person position.
- Overnight position Friday and Saturday, 11 PM - 7 AM. You must be available to work overnight.
