About the Job
Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in high-quality cast iron products, including manhole covers, gratings, etc. is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow their market presence and build lasting relationships with clients across Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts and actively pursuing new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for sales and strong interpersonal skills. 80% of travel will be required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and promote our products on-site. The remaining 20% will be split between on-site activities in Neenah, WI, and working from home to handle administrative tasks, follow up with leads, and prepare sales reports.
Location: Neenah, WI (80% Travel, 20% on-site/WFH)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay: $65k-$75k/annually + commission.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of NEI Infrastructure products by conducting in-person and virtual presentations, managing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities with municipalities, contractors, engineers, and distributors.
- Develop and implement sales plans to ensure profitable growth, utilizing market intelligence and competitor analysis to adjust pricing, distribution, and identify new opportunities.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage leads, issue quotes, and track sales activities, providing weekly reports and updates during team conference calls.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints through site visits, working with internal teams to develop solutions and assist in resolving accounts receivable issues.
- Actively engage in industry associations to build business relationships and contribute to market penetration strategies, including recommending new products or services.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities with a focus on logical, organized communication and active listening. Outstanding interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team, influencing others with strong organizational skills while managing increasing responsibilities.
- Ability to create actionable plans and consistently work towards exceeding goals and sales targets, driven by a strong internal motivation.
- Skilled in building and maintaining customer relationships, with the ability to identify and solve complex customer problems through analytical thinking and tailored solutions.
- Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to implement sales plans, combined with the ability to read and interpret civil infrastructure design and engineering plans (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
